Christan Skrein was born in Vienna, Austria on April 20th in 1945. Choosing a new camera by Leica over the annual family summer vacation, the always-creative troublemaker shot his first pieces for newspapers, when he was 17 years young.

In the late Sixties, Christian Skrein belonged to the fashion elite clique and society photographers. His captures of actors, models and artists were published in many publications. Since 1968, Christian has been collecting photographs. He now has one of the world’s largest collections, with over a million photos (‘Che Guevara - Images of revolution, from the Skrein Photo Collection’ is currently on view in Salzburg, Austria, more info here).

Above photographs are part of his book “My Way - Photographs of the 60s”.
